Attendance Matters at Comfort ISD

Every school day counts! Missing a day of school may not seem like much, but absences add up over time and can affect a student's learning and academic success.

How Missing School Adds Up

When a student misses 2 days each month:
They miss approximately 20 days of school per year.
They miss approximately 30 hours of math instruction over the school year.
They miss approximately 60 hours of reading and writing instruction over the school year.
They may miss the equivalent of more than 1 year of school by graduation.

When a student misses 4 days each month:
They miss approximately 40 days of school per year.
They miss approximately 60 hours of math instruction over the school year.
They miss approximately 120 hours of reading and writing instruction over the school year.
They may miss the equivalent of more than 2 years of school by graduation.

Help Your Student Succeed

Regular school attendance helps students stay engaged, keep up with classroom instruction and build a strong foundation for learning. Every day in the classroom is an opportunity to learn and grow.

Thank you for partnering with Comfort ISD to make attendance a priority!

 Day Counts. Every Student Matters.
